Deal or No Deal has long been one of the most popular television game shows. It became a sensation across Europe in the 2000s and is still revered for its simplistic yet adrenaline-fuelled game concept.

More recently, Evolution Gaming has sought to convert this gameshow into one of its marquee live dealer casino games. Deal or No Deal Live transports you into a live casino studio akin to the original Deal or No Deal Studio, as you open boxes and try to beat the banker in an immersive fashion.

Within this guide to playing Deal or No Deal Live, we explore the main features of this new live dealer gameshow, as well as the mechanics of the game, which includes three rounds of play.

Deal or No Deal Live Features

  • The beauty of this live gameshow is that the studio is designed as a replica of the TV game show, with a few contemporary alterations like the use of briefcases instead of cardboard boxes – fancy.
  • Every second of the action in Deal or No Deal Live is broadcast to you in real-time using HD-quality cameras. Meanwhile, the eye-catching hosts are full of personality and will help you keep track of the game’s progress.
  • One of the best features of Deal or No Deal Live is that there’s no limit to the number of players that can play simultaneously. This means there’s no sitting around waiting for a spare place to play. Combine this with ultra-low minimum bets starting from €0.10 and it’s easy to see why this game has captured the imagination of live casino players across Ireland.

How to Play Deal or No Deal Live

As with all other live dealer casino games, it’s important to understand the mechanics of the game before playing with your own money. Below, we explore the subtle differences in gameplay between the original TV gameshow and the new live casino concept.

Round One

It all starts with the opening round, which is almost considered a qualifying round ahead of the crux of the game. Round One displays a bank vault wheel with a trio of reels displayed. Your mission is clear: land matching gold symbols on the reels before the time runs out. If you do so, you’ll proceed to the bank vault. If you fail, you’ll have to wait for the next game to try your luck.

Round Two – Top-Up Round

Prior to the main game, the Top Up Wheel appears on the screen. This is an optional part of the game, enabling you to double down on your initial bet amounts by anything from 5x to 50x your initial bet size. Should you choose an increase, the multiplier is applied to all blue and red briefcases in play. Just keep in mind that this is an optional round and you don’t need to increase your bet to play the main game.

Round Three – Game Show Round

This is where things start to get interesting. The Game Show Round sees 16 briefcases displayed in front of you in the studio. Each briefcase is sealed and contains a cash prize of varying sums. The values for each briefcase are nominated entirely at random.

To begin the Game Show Round, you must select a briefcase to open. Once the value is revealed, this is removed from the prize board to show the remaining values in play.

After a set number of briefcases, you’ll receive an offer from the ‘Banker’ at each interval. This cash offer will be made based on the value of the briefcases yet to be opened and the probability of landing the biggest prizes. You’ll have ten seconds to decide whether to take the offer or continue playing.

The Deal or No Dealer Live version slightly differs from the TV gameshow version in that you don’t select a briefcase that’s your own. Instead, you choose which numbered briefcase will carry the top cash prize. You’ll know how much the top prize for this briefcase is after the Top Up Round. It’s up to you to try and avoid opening that briefcase for as long as possible to elicit an attractive offer from the ‘Banker’.

If you continue refusing the offers and you get down to the final two briefcases, you’ll get a final offer from the ‘Banker’. If you still choose to reject, you’ll have to decide which of the final two boxes to open to reveal your fate.
